All bodywork sessions include 10 minutes for intake and assessment. I.e., a 60-minute massage is usually a 70-minute appointment.

Appointments
You can schedule appointments online, by phone at 303.417.1273, or via email at melissa@kailomassage.com. When leaving a phone message or inquiring via email, please include 2 preferred days and times for your appointment, and I will do my best to accommodate your busy schedule. I return all phone calls and email requests as soon as possible.
Your first session
Your first session may take a bit longer than a usual session. By taking our time, we can thoroughly discuss your goals in coming to see me, as well as your health history; any complaints, aches, or pains you have; and so that I may answer any questions you may have for me.
A typical session
Each session will begin with a few moments for you to relax and for us to discuss your current state of health and any changes since your last session. Then I will leave the room, allowing you privacy to undress to your comfort level and get comfortable on the table. This session is your time, and I would like you to feel relaxed and comfortable so that you can receive the most benefit from your session, so I ask that you please communicate with me if you are uncomfortable for any reason or if I can provide anything you need.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
I understand that life happens, and sometimes an appointment needs to be changed. Please provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. No-shows or appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice may be charged the full price of the session. Appointments that are cancelled or rescheduled due to an illness or emergency will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
Lateness
If you will be more than 10 minutes late, please call to let us know that you are on your way. Appointments are scheduled far apart enough that I can usually extend your appointment to the full scheduled time; however, your session may be shortened if it will interfere with other clients' services.
Payment and Gratuities
Currently I accept checks and cash. Tipping is not encouraged; as a healthcare provider, my rates are competitive and set accordingly.
Scope of Practice
As a massage therapist, I use a variety of hands-on techniques to restore the balance and enhance the health of your body. I will happily refer you to another healthcare professional if additional health services are needed, and I do not diagnose medical conditions. I do work closely with any referring health care professional to ensure the most appropriate care for you.
